NEWS: Inflation drops by 2.2% as Kwacha firms
The inflation rate for the month of August has dropped by 2.2 percent from 26.6 to 24.4 registered in January this year.
The Zambia Statistics Agency has attributed the drop to price movements in non food commodities.
The Agency also said the country recorded trade surplus of K3.6 billion in July 2021.
Meanwhile, the country’s local currency has been appreciating since the election of President Hakainde Hichilema and his party to power.
