Let Zambian Content Creators Focus on Real Talent
Let Zambian Content Creators Focus on Real Talent
Social media has given many young Zambians the opportunity to express their creativity and build careers online. However, the growing trend of randomly pranking people in public is becoming worrying and dangerous.
While pranks may seem entertaining, many of them involve scaring or provoking strangers who are not aware they are being filmed. These situations can easily lead to violence, misunderstandings, or serious injuries. If this continues, someone could eventually lose their life because of a prank gone wrong.
Zambia has many talented content creators who can produce meaningful and educational content. Instead of focusing on risky pranks, creators should promote real talent such as music, comedy, education, entrepreneurship, and positive storytelling that can inspire the youth.
We would love the government to intervene and provide clear guidelines for content creation to protect the public. Social media should be used to educate, inspire, and uplift the Zambian youth, not put lives at risk.
