The Lusaka Magistrate Court has ordered the removal of the Facebook page “Bukata” unless both parents, musician Yo Maps and influencer Mwizukanji, agree to keep it active. The ruling by Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli came after Yo Maps asked for full custody of their daughter, saying he had seen her only once in three years and was worried about her upbringing. Mwizukanji denied blocking access and said their daughter was well cared for. The court dismissed Yo Maps’ request for full custody and ruled that both parents will share joint custody. It also stated that Bukata’s photos can only be posted online with both parents’ consent, and any money made from her image must go into a trust account for her. The joint custody will continue until Bukata turns eighteen.
